When I was in secondary school, maturity to me was my friend comporting himself when I was talking to a lady. A mature lady to me was the one who accepted my advances. But after some time, maturity stopped meaning those things to me. I grew. Maturity soon became the ability of an individual to navigate critical situations & handle matters with enough wittiness.
I think maturity is contextual, one could be mature when it comes to hygiene and immature when it comes to relationships.
In all the definition is still as you stated.
Thank you for sharing your view on maturity.
But then, isn't there something like all-round maturity? Where someone can be mature in all aspect?
That's almost synonymous to perfection then.
There'll be people mature in a lot of aspects and good at concealing other aspects that they're not mature.
I'm still of the opinion that those who seem mature all-round, have some shortcomings that's not obvious.
That's why I said it's progressive. It's in levels, just like doings.
Yessss.
Thank you.
It's always a pleasure reading your piece.
