Time flies, doesn't it? Feels like forever since I last wrote to you, but I haven't forgotten about you. This is an appreciation mail from me to you. If you're reading this, it means you trusted me enough to subscribe and lend an ear (or eye) to my musings, and that means the world to me . Whatever stories or heartfelt rants I come up with, you're always here to read. So, thanks for being there.
Ever woken up to that sunrise-chasing excitement on a hike, ready to conquer mountains? That's motivation's magic. But when the trail turns uphill, sweat beads on your brow, and those mountains suddenly feel miles away? That's where discipline kicks in.
Discipline is the invisible force that keeps you going, one foot in front of the other, even when the view gets bleak. When I started this newsletter, it was with a burst of motivation, brimful of ideas.
But on days when I didn't feel like writing, the discipline was lacking. You get the difference now?
In 2024, don't be about conquering Everest in one bound, but about the seemingly tiny steps – that article waiting to be born, that code begging to be unleashed, that pesky bug demanding to be fixed.
You sometimes brush them off as "little tasks," things you could do in your sleep. But before you know it, procrastination's built a mountain, and those "little" things become a looming avalanche.
Think of it like the universe pulling a cosmic prank. The law of compound interest, that magical booster rocket for good habits, has a dark twin. Neglect those "little" tasks, and they become a mountain of undone tasks.
Your brain starts whispering, "Nah, they are little & aren't that important." And hey, you believe it. Until, one day, you're staring at a deadline the size of Texas, all because you ignored the seemingly little things.
This pep talk isn't just for you, my friend, it's for me too. 2024's knocking on the door, and we have to be ready. Knowledge? That's our weapon. Every knowledge gap we fill, every fact we grab, is ammunition for the battles ahead. So let's plug those holes, build our intellectual fortress, and face the year with brains sharper than a samurai sword.
Learning isn't a spectator sport. You have to go all-in, soak up information like a sponge, and turn it into tools. Resolutions are just whispers in the wind unless you break them down into steps you can actually stomp on. Goals need to have action plans, clear paths with mile markers, not just fluffy dreams lost in the clouds. Together, let's learn, let's build, let's make 2024 our smartest, fiercest year yet.
I hope I write more letters in 2024.
Till when next I write to you,
Stay Strategic About Your View Of Life.
Thank you for value-packed letters in 2023, Strategy!
